Cannonvale and the central business district in Airlie Beach not to forget the
service based industry in nearby town of Proserpine which boasts a new large
modern hospital, major airport and sugar milling plant. The island resorts cater for all types of accommodation, including luxury apartments, down to budget family style accommodation. So if you are planning to be in the area, make sure you plan to see the whales in their natural habitat. They usually start to make their way through the Whitsunday Island group in about July. Please check to make sure that they have arrived so that you will not be disappointed. |
